Why The Toggi Website Is A Good Website Sample For Business

By Essie Osborn

Many online retailers fail in the e commerce area due to poor designs in their webpages and sites. The online retailer Toggi on the other hand has possibly one of the better sites online for retailers in their line of business. This article will look at the main points of why their website is something to be worth admiring and even copying if one wants to succeed in online retail sales and purchases.

One of the factors that make this website easy to use is that it loads fast. Even on a dial up connection the whole page loads up in just a few seconds. Faster connections of 1 mbps or more sees an almost instant connection with all the pictures loaded.

The simple design and layout, basically a full page on black background gives the loading speed a boost. On the left side of the site there are tabs delineating each of the main lines of products that the company offers in terms of outdoor apparel for men, women, children, and equestrian riders.

On the left side of the page is another tab called technical guide, roughly located to separate outdoor apparel on the top from the equestrian riding gears on the bottom. It is an interesting guide in that it shows the material qualities of the different products and what each of these does for the product. This is quite a novel first for an apparel store, by providing more information to customers so that they can make an informed choice.

Further clicking on in any tab also opens up a further sub menu that further gives a collection for men women and others such as equestrian use. An accessories section is also quite interesting in that it shows a collection for bags, scarves and even socks that the buyer might be interested in.

Social media is also well represented within the site as one can also click links to these sites. There are available Facebook, Instagram and Twitter tabs you can click and go to. More product offerings are also marketed on these sites, as what is of course planned by the web developers to increase market reach.

Another interesting and novel move by the company is to provide a product registration for products bought from their stores. This in a way keeps track of loyal customers and also helps them make a database for future promotions and sales and deals. Very few if any company does this for their sites as an aftersales service.

Thus the site gives designers or would be webmasters the key ingredients in what to look for in a website. Speed, simplicity and conciseness in providing and gathering information are handled well and in a straightforward manner. It is a fine example to use if one is teaching what the main components of a successful webpage and online business are.
