Water encompasses about 70 percent of the entire planet. Two percent is made up of freshwater, which is found underground or trapped in ice caps and glaciers. The overwhelming remaining percentage are all saltwater, majority of which are in oceans.

Water is also a basic necessity for man to survive. He needs water for drinking. He needs water for cleaning himself. He also needs it to wash stuff. It is even very important in irrigation systems and other food producing practices. Aside from these, water also provides for fun and recreation, like swimming, sailing, surfing, boating, scuba training, and a whole lot more.

One of the favorite water activities that people from all walks of life and in varying ages enjoy immensely is scuba diving. It is a form of underwater diving that requires the use of a Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus to be able to be effective. People from ages 12 and up can engage themselves in this really fun hobby.

It is a very enjoyable activity that allows you to see marine life up close. Nonetheless, with all its benefits, it is not an activity that should be taken lightly. There are already instances of serious accidents just because one diver does not follow the rules. To avoid such dilemmas, training is required for everyone, especially for first time divers. One should always exercise caution when diving, as it is not the natural territory of humans.
